Chemical Peels

Used vigilantly, Chemical Peel is actually a very safe and effective treatment for a variety of skin concerns. In this process, solutions are applied to the skin to diminish the cohesion of corneocytes and prevents thickening of the horny layer. increase the thickness of the epidermis and the dermis and stimulates the growth of new collagen and elastic fibers in the dermal layer of the skin. Over a period of time, the skin surface look younger and smoother.

Following the consultation with our Medical Director, our aestheticians will customize your unique cocktail of peel solutions and administer them under medical supervision. Our Medical Director will also prescribe a special skincare regime to help the skin heal when necessary.

Performed on the face, neck, arms, back, hands and legs, a chemical peel treatment takes only 10 to 15 minutes, with a quick healing process to follow, and the benefits are plenty.

Our Peels

  1. Glycolic Acid: Probably the best-known naturally occurring fruit acids or Alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA). Use of AHAs on skin dates back to Egyptian times (Cleopatra bathed in sour milk, which contain naturally occurring AHAs) Glycolic acid has a small molecular structure and can therefore penetrate deep into the skin for those in need of strong exfoliation. We have a range of different strength glycolic acid solutions for different skin types and needs.
  2. Good For:
    • Keratosis Pilaris
    • Tolerant Skin.
    • Skin of the body (back, arms, chest, etc.)
    • Signs of sun damage

  3. Lactic Acid: Lactic acid, like all AHAs, is a compound that is derived from a natural source. Lactic acid has many important qualities; number one being that it is milder than other peels, so people with sensitive skin can apply this peel and see the same results as stronger peels. Second, it has excellent hydrating properties, increasing epidermal and dermal moisture levels. Lactic Acid peel is very gentle on the skin and cause very little, if any, redness.
The Lactic Acid Peel formula we use is the latest in AHA technological advances – LCA Complex – a powerful combination of lactic acid and essential vitamin antioxidants, making it ideal for even dry, sensitive skin.
  4. Especially good for:
    • Dry, even sensitive, skin
    • clogged pores,
    • fine lines,
    • dull, lackluster complexion
    • Adult Acne (dry skin with acne)

  5. Idebenone
While our skin protects us against the (often heavily polluted) environment everyday, it also needs special protection. The Idebenone professional treatment incorporates the dramatic anti-aging benefits of Idebenone, an entirely new and different kind of antioxidant. It helps prevent ageing at its cellular source to provide a level of skin rejuvenation and free radical protection not available with any other non-invasive skincare program. It also offers maximum protection against environmental stress (EPF® 95).
  6. Benefits:
    • Helps prevent skin aging at its cellular source
    • Minimizes the look of fine lines and wrinkles
    • Improves uneven skin tone and texture
    • Brightens the look of skin
    EPF= Environmental Protection Factor

  7. Salicylic Acid
Salicylic acid is a Beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that occurs in nature in sweet birch and in wintergreen leaves. It is a highly effective peeling agent and an excellent pore cleanser with anti-wrinkle and anti-acne properties. Being oil-soluble it is particularly suitable for oily skin.
  8. Best For:
    • Oily Skin
    • Acne-prone skin
    • Blackheads
    • Large pores

  9. Bi-Phasic Peel
This unique peel consists of an application of Salicylic Acid followed by an application of Glycolic Acid. Research shows that Glycolic Acid will penetrate more effectively through an exfoliated surface. Applying Salicylic Acid prior to Glycolic Acid will achieve a superior facial peel without increasing the strength of the peel solution (and the risk of irritation).
  10. Perfect for ageing skin that's oily. Also suitable for body peels.
